My name is Lori Schmidt Lutze and I created ‘Escape to Joyceland’ for everyone who wants to have a little laugh. It seems that the responsibilities, challenges, and dailyness of life can get people down. Adult life gets WAY TOO SERIOUS and b-o-r-i-n-g! Joyceland is inspired by my mom and various friends who like to find the next party and will leave the laundry for another day. It’s an imaginary place where we can live the Joyce lifestyle: eat, act silly, have fun, drink, and be merry.
I’ve thought about freelance writing for a long time. Friends tell me to send them funny e-mails. So, I thought, how about escaping to Joyceland???
I have a Bachelor’s Degree in English and Communications and a Master’s Degree in Counseling. Let Joyceland counsel you! I’ve worked as a high school English teacher (lots of fun), a high school guidance counselor (not so much), a career counselor (have you followed your bliss? do you know what your bliss is?), and a corporate trainer (I can help you solve every problem you’ve ever had in four easy steps). I spend half my time in Joyceland and the other half of my time thinking about the meaning of life.

Just bought the most adorable Vera Bradley suitcase. I’ve packed it with all my favorite things. Coffee,Vodka and Q-tips. I’d like to leave for Joyceland today if possible. Does JL take dogs?

Lori – how much am i loving Joyceland? i warped into this alternate reality this morning and didn’t want to leave. the time in Joyceland seems to move faster, however; can you please check with The Management? i only ask because i was visiting while Teeth Whitening; what i thought was 20 minutes was actually 45. my teeth may be more stunning than usual when i see you next.
