S-A-T-U-R-D-A-Y Night

Yes, Joyceland friends, it’s Saturday night.  Let’s hope you’re going OUT!  Put on your party dress, select your Hairdo a Go-Go, and call a sitter!  If you plan on wearing Spanx, don’t hurry through the process or you’ll throw your back out and the fun will end right there.  If you feel shapewear is necessary, consider these tips:

  • allow yourself at least an hour to get the spandex to land properly
  • have a towel on hand to wipe the sweat off as you ‘wrestle’ with yourself
  • invite a girlfriend over to help you out—four hands works better than two
  • use shapewear at your own risk—in Joyceland we’ve seen many a beautiful woman take to her bed for days due to bodily injuries incurred from putting on spandex.

Instructions for your sitter can be written on a notepad like this (

Don't Kill The Kids! (and other babysitter basics)

And now we just need a theme song.  Remember this one?

‘Gonna rock it up, roll it up
Do it all, have a ball,
Saturday Night,
Saturday Night’

Thanks Bay City Rollers, all the girls in Joyceland will be singing your song tonight!

  1. I’d like to share a little scoop with you ladies. I was shopping the other day at Forever 21 (because you’re as young as you feel in Joyce Land) and I found the most adorable ring for $4.00! You can never have enough jewelry, as joyce says. Check it out and thank me later.

  2. Lori – you really are too funny!!! The thing with Spanx is…it (the f-a-t) has got to come out somewhere else. For example, while a slim tummy and slender hips is FAB, the 2 rows of boobs is not!
